Information: This khukuri is the second largest knife or
khukuri used for sacrificial ceremonies especially for goats.
During the Nepalese festival; Dashain, which falls mainly
in the month of October, a large number of goats and other
domestic animals are sacrificed to celebrate the event on
a special day called "Mar" (Sacrifice). It is
customary for families to purchase |

locally and sacrifice after the necessary ceremonies are
done. This khukuri has 18" long blade, 7" long
handle and it weighs 2800 grams approximately. The blade
is made from reinforced steel used in railway tracks, handle
is made from Brass and sheath is made from a high quality
pattern leather of water buffalo hind. All the making and
building of the khukuri is done by hand using only conventional
domestic tools. This khukuri was made by highly skilled
craftsmen of Eastern part of Nepal. This Long 18 Khukuri
with brass handle has a beautiful dragon carved on its blade
carved by very skillful craftsmen using only hand made tools.
